Coronavirus Covid 19

Important information to our patients

Dorset Heart Clinic statement (24.03.2020):

Dorset Heart Clinic is temporarily closed until further notice

Dorset Heart Clinic is based within the Royal Bournemouth hospital and a joint venture with The Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. In response to the exceptional pressures facing the NHS in the coming weeks and months, we will temporarily stop providing all private services from 25th March 2020. To help our NHS partners in their resilience planning to the exceptional pressures they face, we will be handing across all our inpatient and outpatient capacity to the NHS in the weeks and months ahead. This will allow the necessary resources to be diverted to the NHS as quickly and efficiently as possible.
If you are an existing patient of the Dorset Heart Clinic we are here to support you at this stressful time. If you need to contact us as a matter of urgency, please either Email: or Tel: 01223 349 349.

We will endeavour to return your email or call as soon as possible.

We hope to welcome you back as soon as the current situation has passed.

You should always call 999 if someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk. If you need medical help fast, but it is not life-threatening call 111.
