Important Patient Notice

Cambridge Heart Clinic will be re-opening on 13th July 2020

We are extremely pleased to announce the Cambridge Heart Clinic has now re-opened its doors.

Our service restoration plans are driven by the increasing backlog of patients now waiting for urgent treatment due to the coronavirus.
We are working in parallel with our NHS partner, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, who have also re-opened their hospital services for patients.
We wish to assure all our patients that we are following national and local best practice guidance on infection control to ensure the safety of both patients and staff is at the forefront of everything that we do.

We have no waiting times if you wish to go private

Waiting to see a doctor, have tests and treatment can be worrying and unecessary when time is critical
We don’t have waiting lists and can offer an initial appointment to see a consultant to meet your time scales

On average a private patient sees our doctors within 72hrs of enquiry and undergoes a cardiology procedure within 7 days of their consultant’s diagnosis

No need to wait if you are a NHS patient

You have the option to be seen as a private patient and spread the cost of your medical treatment with a Cambridge Heart Clinic medical Loan
We provide interest free 0% finance on all our loans

World-class private cardiology services at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge

Welcome to the Cambridge Heart Clinic. We offer a comprehensive range of services that includes outpatient based investigations such as screening, echocardiography and stress tests, as well as interventional cardiology procedures that include angiography, electrophysiology, pacemaker and cardiac device implantation. Our heart clinic comprises a welcoming outpatient suite operated using a ‘one-stop-shop’ approach and a fully equipped catheterisation laboratory with a recovery ward of private ensuite patient rooms.

Our heart clinic is led by a team of consultant cardiologists from Addenbrooke’s Hospital. They are at the forefront of their respective areas of clinical practice and work with a team of professionals that include specialist cardiac nurses, cardiac physiologists and cardiac radiographers. We also provide access to a team of vascular surgeons with expertise in the management of vascular disease. Together, they provide experience and skills across every aspect of cardiovascular disease management, from outpatient consultation, diagnosis and screening, through to performing complex vascular and cardiology procedures.

We put our patients first, and everything we do is with the purpose of making you feel valued and special. We want you to enter our clinic knowing that you are entering a safe, friendly and caring environment. And we want you to leave knowing that you have had a patient experience of the highest quality.

Our referral process is simple and efficient with waiting times kept to an absolute minimum. We offer easy access to free parking close to our main entrance. Outpatients are able to see consultants in our dedicated ‘Regent’s Park Suite’ and diagnostic tests are nearly always carried out at the first appointment. Similarly, patients requiring cardiac catheter laboratory investigations or treatment have all their pre-admittance checks performed on the same day avoiding additional visits. If you require a catheter laboratory procedure we will make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. You will be escorted to a private room with ensuite facilities, television, wireless internet, direct telephone lines, quality cotton bed linen, and a menu selection of food and wine. In addition, each private room is equipped with cardiac telemetry which ensures patients receive remote cardiac monitoring 24 hours per day on a real-time basis.

In summary, our patients receive world-class specialist care and the very highest standards of service, combined with the confidence of being in a leading University NHS hospital. So whether you are insured or paying for your own treatment, we are happy to welcome you.

“I was seen on time. Time was taken to make sure everything was in order and they were able to answer my questions. Overall, a pleasant experience.” — Diane Phillips via Google star_rate star_rate star_rate star_rate star_rate

Leading Technology

Technology plays a crucial role in healthcare. And the latest technology is required for the best care. For this reason, we use the latest cutting-edge medical equipment and software in the field, from patient examinations to diagnosis to treatments.
“ From the outset was greeted with a lovely smile and the whole experience was pleasant. When coming to somewhere like this there is always a hint of apprehension as to what may arise, however my stresses and worries were quickly dispelled and I was very impressed with both staff and facilities.” — Kat Nobile via Google star_rate star_rate star_rate star_rate star_rate

Safety of the NHS

We believe high quality and safe healthcare go hand in hand. Our location within Addenbrooke’s hospital provides our patients with the knowledge that they have on-site access to the very best staff and clinical resources 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Private hospitals often lack these resources and therefore require an emergency transfer policy with their nearest NHS hospital – this is why we are proud to offer Care without Compromise.
“My visit was a while ago, but I am so pleased I was able to be seen. The whole experience was calming and peaceful from start to diagnosis. I felt that I was cared for and my questions were answered in a clear way, that enabled me to move forward… Thank you“ — Paula Arnold via Google star_rate star_rate star_rate star_rate star_rate

Quick and Easy Access

Any health condition can be stressful, so we strive to offer quick and easy access to all our services. From same-day appointments to speedy results—rapid diagnosis to effective treatment; we aim to bring our patients peace of mind.
“The clinic may well have been responsible for helping me avoid a serious and possibly fatal heart attack. After having some mild angina pains I booked in for a check up and was confirmed with a problem after some stress tests……I checked into my local a and e after it worsened quickly… I may not have done so without the expert advice I received so promptly. I had an emergency stent put in because my large LHD was nearly blocked completely. Aftercare at Cambridge was perfect. I even got my pilots medical back! No damage at all! Well recommended.” — Ian Valentine via email star_rate star_rate star_rate star_rate star_rate
